USA Insurance Group was founded in 1999 by brothers Mark and David Fay with a focus on manufactured home insurance. Since its inception the group has focused on all things manufactured housing – homeowners, tenants, installers, transporters, MH dealers, and mobile home communities. Mark Fay – the former risk manager for Affordable Residential Communities (ARC) where he helped insure more than 200 mobile home communities and 30 mobile home dealerships – ran operations in Colorado. David Fay started with an office in Las Vegas, NV eventually relocating the office to Mesa, AZ. David oversaw the personal lines operations in Mesa, AZ where the team was focused primarily on lifestyle age restricted communities where the team has marketed directly to these lifestyle communities for more than ten years.
In 2013 Mark’s son Kevin Fay joined the operation and initially split time between the Colorado and Arizona offices – learning the entire operation from the ground up. In 2013 USA Insurance Group purchased MHI General Insurance Agency – a book comprised of smaller agents throughout New Mexico and Arizona with a primary focus on manufactured housing. September 1st 2016 USA Insurance Group was acquired by Insurance Office of America (IOA) at which time David retired from the organization. Since joining IOA in 2016 the teams in Colorado and Arizona have remained laser focused on the manufactured home industry. Mark and Kevin head up the commercial insurance operation out of Colorado and still remain active within the industry (Mark served as past president and Kevin currently serves as the insurance representative for the Rocky Mountain Home Association). Cindy McCann is the onsite manager for the Mesa team and has been with our group for more than 15 years; Melissa McKenzie continues to manage the MHI team. After a successful run with IOA, the USA Insurance team was acquired by Hub International Insurance January 1st 2021.
